A Legacy of Quality

Our story begins with Helen and Paul Naylor. Helen, a talented and creative teacher, performer and musical director and Paul, a skilled harp maker and luthier with a lifelong love for the harp’s sound. They established Derwent Harps in 1998 in Derbyshire and later moved to Wales, Helen’s ancestorial home, with a vision to create instruments that not only capture the essence of Wales but also inspire musicians of all levels. More recently Helen and Paul have been joined by Rob Chapman whom has a background in business, sales and marketing.
